Building a Locost and about to purchase a Pinto engine,
Wheres best source to get a 4 into 1 manifold that misses chassis, steering shaft and brake masters ??
Will sump have to be cut and if so where's best place to get this done ?
Will twin 40's fit over chassis and which manifold is best to ensure fit ?
Will type 9 gearbox require stick mods to land in correct location ?
Any other info on fit of Pinto ?

I have a standard chassis, and have managed to move the geabox far enough back to avoid having a gear lever extension. I made the tunnel wider at the bottom, panelled the section near the pedals from the inside of the tunnel, and this way have plenty of room for my feet. Clearance is fairly tight with the starter motor, but it doesn't touch the chassis when the engine is rocked, so hope it will be ok for SVA.

Cutting the sump is quite straightforward, but there is someone who advertises £50.00 for a modified sump & pick up on the Robin Hood Owners Club site under the For Sale section.

I have a 2" manifold, and have 2" clearance between the front 40 DCOE carb body and the chassis. I bought an exhaust manifold, not sure of it's origins, and have routed my steering column around it.
