OK, I'm after a 2l black top zetec engine with very few miles on the clock.

What cars did they come out of apart from the mondeo? Any?? and what year where they being used until?

They were also in The MK1 Focus, up until it went out off production, so late 2004 (?).

The earlier ones are less hassle as they are better catered for. You will also be able to run carbs on pre 95.

If you are worried about something with a thou of miles on don't be as 60,000 is just getting run in or Ford do a new recon eng for just under £1K or half engine for £400.

But then you probably know all this!

Yes, ford prices do make me laugh I'm just looking for a nice low milage black top. I was going to put bike throttle bodies on but have diceded to put jenvey throttle bodies on and run an emerald ecu. I'm in no hurry so i'll just try and find the best bargain.
