Wondering about about rear exit pipe, trouble is lack of ground clearance......
If pipe exit is just forward of back wheels do you get much problem of exhaust fumes in car when slow running/stuck in traffic and does your passenger
whine and moan about it? (Assume Zetec/Crossflow fitment here - if its drivers side you don't give a s**t!!)
Cheers
Andy
mine has a chrome bit that angles the smoke away from the car, never had a prob
Same side as a bike engine then so I can comment on this. Exhaust aint a problem at all. You get no fumes in car whilst standing in traffic. Good
thing to mention is that you can feel the warmth from the exhaust wafting into the passenger area on a cold evening...........

Don't fit a windscreen, just use an aeroscreen like me or nothing at all, then you will be getting more noise from air than from engine / exahust
I know someone with xflow and side exhaust. Tailpipe is straight, not angled away, engine running rich and the fumes are a problem for passengers, so
is the smell on clothes etc.
Bottom line - angled exit and running properley and you should be OK but at the end of the day they are raw sportscars without modern new fangled
accesories (air con and pollen filters)so you'll never be perfect.
definetly angle it. I didn't for a period, but quickly noticed that the exhaust fumes and engine heat were pointing at the rear wheel arch and rear tyre - two problems, one is the heat damages the gel coat/paint and secondly the heat warms up the tyre its pointing at giving it different handling attributes to the other rear tyre - it made 15oC difference to my rear tyres and you could feel it in the corners. cheers
