does any one know were to get rebuild kits and spares for them

Don't know of a Solex distributor, but Eurocarb in Reading may be able to help / point you in the right direction

If you find a good supplier could you please let me know cause I've got a pair of twin 40 solex carbs and will need to get them up and running eventually.

The Carbureter Exchange in Leighton Buzzard have always been very helpful in the past , have used them on several occasions in the past . Think you may find that Solex went bust years ago and parts may be difficult to find if not impossible? Hope I'm wrong , Rusty
