Looks well iteresting.
How good is the photo resolution?? Can you zoom in on the data on the board? It looks like Elite Integrated Transmission Systems. Phone number and
website is on bottom of the board but i can make it out.

Looks like the Elite Racing box featured in PPCs Top Gear section this month. Very nice but costs a whopping £3760 What would Uncle Ron say?!

It does indeed look like that one.
What about the cheaper options.......Alfa transaxle, porsche transaxle or, no doubt what Volvorsport was referring to, the Volvo transaxle.
All alloy cased and fairly strong.
Hewland did much the same 25 years ago for front engined rear drive Super/Special Saloons Bill Drydens last Firenza had a Hewland box in the back and to meet the regs a conventional rwd box behind the engine.
I have worked with them on quite a few occationes and they are a very good company, and their gearboxes are the best, all the ratios are fully
interchangeable so you can have any ratio you want, but they arnt cheap.
Also they will design and make a gearbox to what ever you want, but the price goes up even more.

well , if the cockpit is wide enough you could get away with it , its limit is supposedly 250 hp, (same tranny on its side as the 740 etc) otherwise
it sticks in yer arse . its hard to get any LSD with going to volvo or sweden - and the ratios are quite spaced out (an overdrive 5th gear) .
the other downside is they rely on splines for power transmission - which can easily wear off .
In a light car , im sure theyd be upto the job , but if you were making a wee beasty , i d like to pick a stronger tranny etc .
A Un1 box with bellhousing taken off , and replaced with a plate (with a bearing for input shaft) , would be my first choice - damn i keep giving
secrets out . use a 360 bellhousing , and most of the hard work is done
I'd go down the Alfa romeo route. bellhousing is quite wide but could be made to fit.
Plenty of parts available if a little pricey nowadays.
