Pinto to XE swap - Which mounts ?

As per title, which engine mounts pick up XE points and have the correct spacing for a Pinto based chassis ?

Have been told Carlton ones may fit.... ? ?

Depends on the pinto mounts that you are using!!!

Sierra ones are really wide, you'd have to make your own to suit these, but if you are using and Escort/Capri/Cortina type setup, then Opel Manta 1.8 mounts are the ones you need (not the 2.0 ones, these are totally different)

Failing that, just make your own, they are dead easy to make ( I can give you dimensions)

Presently using the standard Sierra donut type mounts.
What do you use with regards to the actual brackets to the engine block?

Any pics / drawings would be appreciated...

This is what I have done............ (excuse the messy engine bay, was just trial fitting the dummy engine block, but it is an XE 16v)

Westfield ones work a treat but my god they wernt cheap when i brought them. soooooooo glad i never built a westie now

what's cheap/not cheap?

I'd want £45 a pair for the ones in the photo, to make it worth my while making them. Not cheap, but not worth making for any less.

I may be interested in a pair...

Do you know what the distance is between mount centres ? I.E. Will they line up with my existing Pinto mount holes.
Do they come with the rubber mounts ?

The rubbers are from Rally Design, here's a link - Rally design - 50mm engine mount rubber

as fof the mount centres, you would be best to get the engine on blocks in the engine bay, make sure everything clears and fits right, thenI (or anybody else making the mounts) would need to know the required distance from the bolt holes on the block to the rubber mount centreline, and also the distance from the lower mount holes on the block to the top of the rubber mount (i.e. the required height of the engine in the bay, which will depend on sump used etc, I'm using a caterham one and will hopefully be dry sumping yet so mine is very low!)
