Having got my re-built started, it seems to run OK. I have now done a compression test with the following results....
Cyl 1 - 175psi / 12bar
Cyl 2 - 175psi / 12bar
Cyl 3 - 160psi / 11bar
Cyl 4 - 160psi / 11 bar
Are these figures good, bad or indifferent and more importantly does the difference in pressure cause concern?

...Just read up Puma Racing's COMPRESSION TESTING article and noted the following...
1. Engine should be at normal running temp - mine was cold.
2. Throttle should be fully open - mine was closed.
...expected psi should be between 170-200 with all cylinders within 10% of each other.

What spec has it been rebuilt to? Has head been skimmed? (how much).
Im no expert but thought anything over 150 on a std engine was pretty good. If your engine has been completely overhauled (bores, rings, head
re-build, new seals / gaskets) then it should be fine at that. I would consider your first set of readings to be the baseline reference for evaluating
future wear against. Im sure someone will say that every engine is different so published target compresions are only a guide.
