Remove carb top , hold top in vertical position with float hinge at top and float holding needle valve shut , measure between float and carb top gap should be 8.5 mm . With float away from needle valve gap should be 15mm all measurements are with top gasket in place and DO NOT allow for thesoldered joint in the floats . Use a piece of dowel the correct dia with grooves cut out to clear the joint so that measurements are taken from the float bodies. If carb still floods needle valve may f be at fault or you may have too much fuel pressure. HTH
