I have fitted my exhaust and a 907 Can. I don't have a sound meter or anything to test the sound level with but it sounds very loud.
As a precaution, incase it isn't quiet enough for the SVA I have bought a DB killer. A sort of stainless steel pipe with holes in it that goes
into the end of the can.
Only problem is that it is designed for a bike can with a straight exit and Paul's can has a curved outlet.
Can anyone see any problem with putting this in between the manifold and the can, rather than at the end?
I know it would restrict power and get hot, but it would only be to get past the noise test.
Either that or I can try to bend the thing to fit.
Mike
I believe others have got through the test by the simple expedient of 'shoving some wire wool up the pipe'......
Pauls cans are repackable - just drill the rivets out, pop the end off and put the db killer in. Rivet back up.
Same process to remove it post-sva
Good god I'm thick sometimes. Its a wonder I remeber to breathe.
Cheers
Mike
