Ford vernier cam pulley?
nick205 - 5/8/05 at 05:09 PM

Just been down the scrappy for some bits and pieces and found this adjustable cam pulley on the floor of a mk3 Capri 2.0 Pinto.

As you can see it's a Ford part. It's steel so not lightweight. I haven't checked it against a Pinto cam pulley yet to make sure it will fit, but it looks like it will.

I put it the bottom of my tool box and forgot to mention it to the scrappy

Anyone know what it would have come from? GT or RS model maybe? Rescued attachment For vernier pulley 1.JPG

Looks like a 1.6 or 1.8 diesel cam sprocket to me . Someone may be able to tell by the part number If the number and shape of teeth, diameter ,offset and central bore is the same can't see any reason for not using it .

ARSE.....thought I'd found something special - no point in putting on ebay then..

I checked it against mt Pinto cam wheel - same dia. and no. of teeth, but different profile teeth.

Cheers
Nick
