After hours of stripping checking and tuning got to give up on these carbs.Originally off a Holbay engine. All rejetted choked etc,but the idle is so rich it blacks the plugs and wets no.2
My bonnet is designed for 40/45 and i dont fancy a downdraught, also got aldon
vacless dizzy. If i buy new webers what should i buy, unless someone thinks they know whats wrong. Are 152 versions suitable for 2.0l pinto with fr32 cam?

152s are the ones to use on the pinto, but really you need to have them set up on a rolling road. You need a tuner who has a good selection of jets etc. doing it yourself, is pretty impossible. Once it's set up all you need to keep an eye on is the idle mixture needles.
