Zetec and Type 2 gearbox

Does anybody use a zetec (1.8) with a type 2 (escort mk1/2) box?

Sorry but why would you want to?

Wouldn't you be better to fit a type 9?

Unless you have a car that is running all Escort and you want to change to Zetec I surpose.

Because where I live, we have escort mk1/2 from de 70-80s and then ford import all escorts from Argentina with a VW engine and gearbox.

In 1997 Escort are made in Argentina but with UK engine, the zetec.

Now we don't have type 9, we don't have MT75... so there's no other way except another box and custom bellhousing.

Please help me, somebody should know if the original escort starter will fit and run OK
