I'm sure this must have been covered but I couldnt find the answer through searching. I have 2.0l silvertop cams from the phase 1 zetec and was wondering if I could put these in my 1.8l blacktop phase 3 zetec focus. I was unsure because the silvertop has hydraulic lifters and the blacktop solid lifters.

Can I do this and will I get more power 15bhp or so. A bit more power for towing the kit car would be nice.

Sorry, I don't know the answer.

What I would say however, is that 2L zetec engines can be picked up cheap enough and you'd have the same power as the 1.8 with 2L cams but a much much better torque curve and position which would be beneficial for towing.
