Hi all

Whats the best thing to repack my exhaust with?
and weres the best place to buy it?

Ive decided my exhaust is way to loud now after my mate drove it and i could hear him half a mile away,sounded good thou but i think plod wouldnt be to happy and i dont think it would pass a track day test.

Repacking with whatever material may not make it quieter - it may make it louder... if it's not packed enough, too loud - if it's packed too much, too loud. There is a perfect density for all materials. Trial and error me thinks!

I used loft insulaton and packed it pretty dense and it was fine.

Car Builders Solution sell a handy "pre-packed" roll that's just ready to push in for about £15.

Loft insulation works well , i bought a roll from Focus and have repacked my silencer twice and used about half of it in total.I put some fine stainless mesh around the perforated tube to help prevent it from blowing out to easily and have had no problems .It does smell a bit funny for a few miles but soon clears.

I used to use loft insulation on my old 125cc trials bike many years ago. Had a free source of it as well...our loft!
