There is a thread on exactly this subject but I'm afraid I can't be arsed to look for it.

A search should find it and answer your questions though.

Phil.

Hi Dave,

I phoned Vulcan about a month ago to ask about this. They do sell a manifold for this, there's a picture in my photo archive: adapter.jpg.

It's £87+vat.

The only thing to bear in mind is that adapter plus carb plus filter needs 9.5" between side of c/head and chassis rail to fit.

Try sales@vulcanengines.com (they were good at getting back to me).

Another option that was suggested to me was to weld the inlet holes of the head and then re-cut them round instead of pear-shaped. But this strikes me as a good way to warp your cylinder head!

HTH,

James

Get an injection inlet gasket

get a carb inlet gasket

get piece of steel plate about 2mm.

cut the plate to the outline of the injection gasket. cut out the holes that you want, i.e the ones in the carb gasket. and for the fixing studs

place the injection gasket onto the head, put the plate on the injection gasket, put the carb gasket on the plate i.e a gasket/plate/gasket sandwich. bolt on the carb inlet and there you go.

Send my fee to the usuall address

Cheers

Chris
