theres a pipe on the bike that is an overspill pipe someone else will confirm
theres no fuel return on the 99 r1 though so the only fuel pipe that actually plugs into something is that middle one which then goes onto the fuel
pump

The pipe at the top (I believe) is the vacuum pipe to control the diaphragms....the bottom connector will be your fuel pipe, no return on bike carbs! Bogg Bro's have told me to just connect up the fuel pipe and not to worry about the others (leave them to atmosphere....the pressure difference in the manifold will control the variable venturi's) HTH Oli.

so the one in the middle is for fuel in which i said all along
The two pipes marked fuel in your pic are float chamber air vent hoses. They should "T" together and vent to atmosphere.
The brass inlet marked with a question mark is the fuel inlet.
