As the title really for an XE. Which of the styles below is best?
Description

I would say the one on the left. Engine mounts such as those used in these cars should work in compression. The mount in the left works in compression
for both the engine weight and cornering forces.

I made very easy and strong ones using suspension arm bushings - 2 to a tube -
strong little movement and failsafe if the bushings fail.

I ordered an engine mount kit from Yukspeed which is very simmilar to Dale's. It's designed for putting an XE into a RWD Escort, but it comes unassembled so you can chop it to length to suit a locost etc.
