R1 Carb Mounting Angle
Ian Pearson - 29/5/06 at 10:00 AM

Anyone able to tell me what angle the R1 carbs should be mounted at?

TIA, Ian.

I would have thought so that the float bowl line was level,

My R1 carbs, on my R1, are mounted at much more of an angle than that. I haven't the tools to measure it but it might be 30° or 40° more than your pic. You have the float bowl to carb joint horizontal. It is nothing like that on mine.

they will work at pretty much any angle ,as long as you use the r1 pump , these are at a really steep angle and work fine Rescued attachment CIMG0010.JPG

yup, not my set up though from rwd kurts mk but he,s chuffed to bits with his . so far two sets of carbs and a pair of pumps has cost £140 and im having a go at the manifolds out of stainless but compared to tb,s or a second hand quad weber kit its cheap as chips
