Injection Pinto
PeetBee - 28/4/03 at 07:59 AM

I'm picking up a sierra tonight fitted with the 2.0 pinto efi to fit it in place of a crossflow. Has anyone had experience of doing this, as I have the standard mk1 escort wiring loom in place and am not sure how difficult it will be to splice in the efi wiring, can anyone give advice please?
many thanks

cheers Conrodkid,
I've now got the sierra, (don't know what the neighbours are thinking, a Dutton under a sheet and now a sierra both parked on the front lawn!)

I've decided to go for a premierwiring loom and splice in the efi wiring so I'll let you know how it goes.

PS I just realised I should have posted this in Electrics, oops!

It would be very similar to changing a carb pinto sierra to an injection pinto sierra. Been there done.........

carefully remove all the injection loom from the sierra, this is seperate to main loom and includes fuel pump loom, complete with out cuting. Throttle pedal/cable arrangement will need to be revised (different ends) and your fuel system will need revision.

If its anyhelp (god knows where it is at this time) some where I have a table of loom colours/feed/circuit use for all the electrical wiring on an Injection loom I will try & find it.

Let me know if you would like a copy.

Enjoy.

Many thanks
I've got the Haynes manual, but any extra help is appreciated!
Good point about the pedals, I'd forgotten that.
cheers
