Pinto Starter Motors
flak monkey - 15/8/06 at 11:28 AM

Has anyone got a bosch part number for a pinto starter motor to suit a 2 litre pinto with a T9 box? I have got a starter motor but its in bits, and I am not sure if it has come from an automatic engine or a manual and would like a basis for comparison.

I assume that all starter motors for T9 transmission 2 litre pinto sierras are the same? If so I might be able to get one from a scrappy.

Cheers,
David

My starter is off a 2.0 Pinto inj ('97)

will have a look tonight to see what part numbers are on it.....

The starters for manual and automatic are different handed - the manual fits on the passenger side and the auto on the drivers side

With the above info it should be obvious which one you have.

I will check tonight, but I may have a pinto starter knocking around you can have for nowt. It came offf the engine that was attached to your gearbox.
Hows the build going?
