Has anyone seen my no.1 conrod? think half of it is somewhere on the bristol ring road and the other half is in pieces in my sump

Thanks to everyone who has been helping me to find a replacement 1600 pinto. Your help is greatly appreciated.

However, spoke to Footman James this morning and they only want £63 to cover the reamining 10 months of my policy if i upgraded to a 2.0l!!!!!!!!!!!! How tempting is that??!!! Rescued attachment DSCN0722.JPG

This lads found one:-

Doubt it'll fit though, his decided to leave his fireblade at 10,000rpm on the back straight at Teesside!

The reason he's holding it with pliers is cause it was still burning hot when the photo was taken!

Hope you get sorted and keep laughing!

Mike

Defo go 2litre the 2.0 is a better engine all round, for a start it doesn't bounce valves off pistons if you get a broken cambelt. Suggestion :- put oil in this one b4 starting it!!!

I know this dodgy character!

Think he's got a new engine now though (conrod left a bit of damage to the side of his car though - don't know what he's going to do about that)

I've got a 1.8 CVH if you want it! Any offer considered!

Had a similar experience in my renault scenic, down to 3rd, then second, then lots of funny noises, a trail of oil, then lots of steam from the radiator where the shards of block had punctured it. Niiiiice. Rescued attachment oops.jpg
