Hi all, plan to run a 2.0 Blacktop 1999 Zetec, and need to build a bracket to fit a pulley above the water pump. Could people post pics of what they
have done? I am thinking of making something that bolts into the 2 standard engine mount bolts, just to neaten things up and blank the holes. Any
thoughts on designs?
Cheers guys
Matt
Do you mean like this.?

Or something like this, done by Bertram in Holland.

Not enough belt on the crank pulley me thinks.
Steve
That second design rotates the alternator the wrong way. Or am I getting confused.

Hold on that seems to be in situ - what chassis are we talking looks massive...
if the ribbed part of the belt is on the crank pulley is the flat face of the belt on the alternator or are my eyes playing tricks ?????
It's a daihatsu charade alternator if i'm right and yes it turns in opposite direction. And yes the flat site runs the pulley of the
alternator.
It's just another alternative.
BTW the person who did this, did it in a westfield if i'm correct.

Why not just use a water pump froma 1.8 zetec?
Much easier than putting an idle pully on teh engine???
