GSXR T Bodies - Bit of help please
MattCraneCustoms - 23/11/06 at 09:19 PM

Hi all,
Planning on using GSXR 1000 Bodies on a 2l Zetec. Can anyone tell me which I ideally need? Been looking at some and they have K numbers, and I have no clue what half the info means. If some people using them can help me out with what I ideally need I'd really appreciate it.
Cheers
Matt

Yep, k number is the year as above. You want k3 or older as these are individual bodies, the newer ones are in pairs, much like DCOE carbs, so cannot be respaced to suit your application.

Linky

This link is very useful for identifying the right bodies.

The best ones IMHO (as Matt says) are made up from 4 castings.

Either

or

I've seen the ones in pairs used

but you have to put more work into the manifold to get them to line up with the head ports where as you can re-space the ones made from 4 castings.

Hope this helps

Paul.
