another question about fuel connections on DGAV 32/36

Hi again all just noticed the second fuel connection on the weber 32/36 i got yesterday what is it? i didnt think carbs had a return on the them or am i wrong in this case

Some carbs do indeed have a return....I might well be that....Oli.

Yes, DGAVs do often have a return. Make sure you plumb them up the right way round though. I've got an old one somewhere in the garage I can photo of if you're not sure which pipe is which.

thats great is a fuel pump on the inlet pipe all that is needed.

thanks all that means ive got to put another fuel line all the way back to the fuel tank that will be fun to see if i can find room in tunnel

Yes, you only need a pump on the inlet side.

We ran our carb with the outlet blocked using a short length of pipe and some round bar. Used only the inlet and had no problems in about 3000 miles... This was with a facet electric pump not the original though.

Have you plumbed a return line back to the tank?

not done anything about it yet so only got the line coming from the tank to the carb. we have a electric pump similar to an su do you think this will be ok to do the same as you

I've also blocked off the fuel return and have no problems
