Hi,

have just trial fitted this quickshift onto the tiger remote change

the quickshift does not fit through the hole in the remote, and when bolted on top like this, im nit sure if there is enough contact between the link on the bottom of the gear lever, and the remote change?

any advice / suggestions appreciated!! Rescued attachment DSCF0006.JPG

make the hole bigger so it sits properly- it doesn't look as if it is engaged enough

cheers

On my Tiger remote the plate on bottom of the original gearstick sits tightly on top of the Tiger remote. There seems to be quite a gap inbetween yours. There is a plastic "shim" that fits on the lever fork which engages with the Tiger transfer rod it is also worth putting one of these on the other end where it engages with the transfer rod into the box.
There is a method on here somewhere to make a much shorter throw of the gear stick, this is done by moving the gear lever fulcrum higher ie by tapping the lever lower down through the fulcrum point and putting shims equivalent to the drop of the lever inbetween the two plates where you have the gap.If you see what I mean, it is physically posible to move the lever downwards, it will then engage fully.
