Hi Guys,
I need to work out what I'm going to do with the fuel filters.
I was planning a pre pump filter, a filter built into the pump, and a pre
carbs filter.
What do I use for the pre pump filter? Can the Facet screw in jobs be used
on the input? Or should I get a throw away one for there?
The is a filter built into the pump (its an Interrupter type).
I've got a Filter King pressure regulator, will this be ok as the pre carb
filter? Or do I need an extra one?
Thanks
All you need is a pre-pump filter really, a throw away placky one is ideal. Protects the pump itself from damage too. Any poo that the filter has to deal with comes from the tank, so why complicate the issue with a filter before the pump, a filter at the pump, and a filter before the carbs? P.s., if you have Webers, there is also a filter fitted to them.....
If you've made your own tank carry a spare one as well. I speak from experience, or a bit of pipe to put in its place to get you home.
yours, Pete.
