This is what I have on my blackbird carbs Bob

Maybe you could make a new backplate for this

Seem to come up on ebay quite regularly. Also keep your eyes open for westfield or tiger badged ones.

I did not want the hole in the bonnet so made this to take the biggest cone filter I could get off ebay for £15. Rescued attachment NS_engine_exhaust_7oct2006.JPG

Bob, I think you need to leave about 25-35mm of space between the top of the carb trumpets and the inside of the air filter. This may be different with foam filters though ?

Thanks again wil

After a look around the interweb your right, most seem to allow 25mm min between trumpet and top of filter.

As luck would have it bogg bros called today to say my inlet manifold and carbs are ready,so i can have a measure and get a filter sorted.

Even more luck is that i was at work when steve bogg called so Mrs bob had to pay
