Im having a moment!!
Ive got a xetec coil pack. It is marked up 1 2 3 4.
Im only used to dizzys. Firing order is 1 3 4 2. On Dizzy first point goes to 1, next point to 3 then 4 then 2.
Does the same apply to coil packs. ie 1 to 1, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 2???

Hi Darren
Firing order for xflow is same as zetec so connect cylinder 1 to 1, cylinder 2 to 2 etc etc
Good answer

Connected 1-1, 2-2 etc and it rens sweet.
Is it normal for a snap on advance timing light to read double revs and double advance with EDIS etc???

Darren keep up the good work you will get there in the end

Graham
Im just about there. Car has been running very well. Any issues ive had have not been the MJLJ. Ive programmed Steve's map in and looking forward
to a test drive sometime. I just need to instal it all better first and strip out the std dizzy set up.
TBH im quite enjoying myself. Spent most of tonight just playing with it. Maybe i should have completed the install!!
Why dont you have a go - go on, you know you want to

Well done Darren, wondered how late you would be up annoying the neighbours

Sounds like you are getting there, good work!

Good bit of improvisation Darren but you would be better of fitting the TPS properly as you will only see the real benefit of MJ once you have a 3D
map.
Good to hear you are getting there though. See, it's not as hard as the doubters would have you believe.
As others may have the same problem, how did you sort the comms problem out?
Thanks for the nod on Teeside
Another random thought ive had - if the system is wasted spark does that mean the sparkplugs do twice the work as normal? Should i consider a change
of plugs as a result - what would you recommend.
Good point Steve ref TPS twiddling. Ill get the install put right (ie temp to perm) and see how i get on. Need to get out on the road to test it out.
Looking good Darren it will be worth it in the end
i am not a doubter i dont have a lap top so the dizzy way was easier for me
when you fit the bike carbs on they have tps so it will be good for you to use that.
Graham
Unfortunately Graham my bike carbs dont have TPS and the throttle spindles dont extend out of the castings so a bit tricky to fit my pre-wired TPS. I
managed to build a car so wont let something like that stop me!
Carbs are ZZR1100. Im sure someone will have done it. I did think of fitting sensor to pedals but being floor mounted access is not that good.
