I am currently trying to fit an 1800 zetec (mk 5 escort) to a sierra mt75 gearbox but have discovered that the clutch release bearing doesnt actually reach the clutch let alone disengaging it. Does anybody know how westfield do it (or anybody else for that matter}and if so could you send me the relevant info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know the answer to this myself but I do know that Martin Keenan has done several cars with this combination, ring him and ask!

Try the Tiger Yahoo group, they put plenty of zetecs into their cars, although I think that they still use T9 boxes. I'll ask Floyd when I see him he's got a Westie with a 2.0 zetec and mt75 combo.

The westfield part for the larger release bearing is 3243009, don't know how much though!
