fuel sender

hi guys,

bit of advice needed- think i may have made an error--

where the fuel sender attaches into the fuel tank, i have used 5mm rivets through the holes in the flange- all seems very solid- after reading an old post wondering if i was supposed to use screws?

any thoughts on if this is a problem?

cheers
les

If you intend to take it out at somepoint then be aware that drilling a tank always has a risk associated with it. Using screws removes this risk.

Other than that, just make sure it's sealed properly.

hi,

thanks for the replies,

I did drill the holes and then used rivets- used a magnet to get all the bits out of the tank-

i saw a post which recommended screws be used, but as you say drilling out the rivets now, could cause more problems than its worth.

thanks
