I have just received my GSXR 600 throttle bodies and am about to measure up for my manifold. Has anyone got any advice as to where to start? Should I strip off all the bits back to the bare bodies, they also have an electronic chock arrangement which I see a lot of people have taken off, why is this? Any help or advice would be welcomed.

You will need to strip them to remove the auxillary chokes and actuator.The holes can be plugged with some alloy plugs or some people fill them with plastic metal etc, it is not feasible to use the auxillary butterflys on a car as the operation is controlled by the bikes ECU, in a car they would have little benefit either.
Then measure the port spacings and make some spacers to fit in between to give the correct spacing of the throttle bodys, zetecs are 92mm and the throttle bodys are 80mm standard spacing so I turned 6 12mm spacers and then securted with longer studs.

I have some on mine...Ray did most of the work, but if you want any info on setting them up, what parts fit with what, drop me a line

6 mm ,I used some stainless threaded rod.

As above really. What engine are they going on? I had them on my old toyota 4age. Worked really well. There are a couple of pics in my old photo archive. Look for Ben Smith not R1 STRIKER.
