hi guys,

engine all up and running- but got an oil leak from the oil pressure sender (zetec)

i could refit the old sensor, and move the sender to a sandwich plate which i have bewteen the oil filter and engine,

anyone know if it a good place to read oil pressure?

Do you have an electrical sender or mechanical? If mechanical a bit of ptfe/plumbers tape may sort it out. If electrical, is the sender fully done up, or of the correct thread?

Yup. PTFE tape rules... Had an annoying leak from the oil pressure sender (though I'm also being naughty and using a T-piece to attach the low pressure light switch....)...
PTFE tape sorted it out.... I really should attach a flexi hose before the block cracks....

hi,

thanks for the replies, i have a mechanical racetech sender, in an adapter- again for the oil light sender!

for oil temp, ive got a mechanical racetech sender in the sandwich plate- which has couple of extra connections i could use?

will try the tape solution!
