Reducer pipes?
thetankwad - 25/7/03 at 09:27 AM

Years ago, when i had my faithful (if shite) Cinquecento, i fitted a centre exit exhaust. Bought as a cinquecento fitment, i forsaw no problem in the fitting. Indeed, it slotted on like a glove until i came to fit the new pipe to the existing downpipe to find...10mm of difference. After raiding my garage fruitlessly for an hour, i returned in my mucky state to the shop i bought the offending item, looking for a fight. Apparently though, this was a common problem, and i was supplied with a reducer pipe that stepped down to various common diameters. Problem solved. Now that the Cinq is long dead and the new project is here, i find myself in ned of 2 of these cunning devices. Three guesses what comes next? Shop changes management to the biggest bunch of braindead knobs in existence ("never heard of that sort of thing, mate" ) and the whole of west scotland are none the wiser to where these pipes came from. Has anyone came across these things, and would know where i could find them? any tips would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried looking up exhaust shops or custom exhaust manufacturers in the yellow pages? they might be able to make you something up for a price, worst case scenario?..

If its exhuast try these http://www.custom-chrome.co.uk/ the website isnt all that helpfull but if you give em a ring they'll send out a very comprehensive price list or the bits you need
Very reasonable on price too for manifolds or trick sidepipes.
