removing viscous fan on crossflow

ok, clever ppeps, how do I remove the viscous fan on a crossflow?

the fan istelf spins round but there is a rather large nut behind the fan but then how do you stop the shaft from turning? there are some bolts on the viscous coupling - do I undo those in the hope they voer some nut?

if its like a transit coupling you can either put a large spanner on it and give it a hit with a hammmer or use the gentle approach and use a hammer and chisel and hit the nut on the edge of the flat and it should come loose but i dont know if its left or right hand thread possibly righthanded but i will probably be wrong

Pretty sure is would be a Left hand thread (ie Opposite to nomal).

Its most likley to be LHThread,
As said a sharp hit with a hammer and a long thin chisel usually tells it who is in charge today.
Bet you drop it when it gets to the end of the thread,
Steve.

Def. a wrong-way thread.
