Vauxhall XE - How do people route the water works in a 7?

I have got to the stage of fitting the radiator and associated water works to my XE / Luego Velocity. I have noticed that the original Vx pipe that comes from the water pump routes round towards the rear of the installation. I could attach some pipes to it and route it round the exhaust side of the engine but this seems less than desirable. Alternatively I could cut the original plastic pipe and return to the rad on the induction side of the engine. However, I intend to fit the alternator on this side and think it might be a tight squeeze if I do.

Does anybody have any advice or photos of the water works in their seven/XE 16V cars?

I should say that I intend to run the car with a heater.

Cheers

On mine (as with a number of westies) I route the water pump inlet to the bottom of the rad via the inlet side and then across the bottom of the polo rad, then the top hose goes from the thermostat housing to the header tank then on to the top of the rad, header mounted halfway between the two at the front of the car. The inlet manifold bleed connection then taps into the top of the header as a bleed, across in front of the cam pulleys. No pipes at all to the rear of the engine then, rear head connection is blocked off.
