Does any one know where i can get hold of an external pre-pump fuel injection filter with 1/2" or 12mm connections either end, without spending silly money.
Spent alot of time looking on web and in shops without any success
Thanks in advance

halfords - but dont get into an argument with one of their spotty oiks who says that "theres no point in you looking for a fuel filter for your car because if its not on our system we wont do one that suitable for your car"

Honestly - i tried to explain that all i wanted was an inline fuel filter but he just couldnt get it through his head that although my car isnt on the system there MAY be one that is suitable - it'll just take a little time to find one that i think is suitable.

In the end I did - and paid for it with a very grumpy spotty halfrauds oik at the till - PMSL

As Jos said. Dont bother asking the knowledgable staff. Just go through the shelves and hunt one out. Ive done this several times before. You may save some pennies going to proper Motor Factors but they may not be keen going through their stock room for you.

Had a quick look in halfords last night, even ended up looking through all the fuel filter boxes to no avail, they only seem to have 8mm connections on their filters. Of course the obligitory spotty teenager trying to find my car on their system!

1/2" connections sound very large. Is there a particular reason for being so big?

The bosh inline pump i'm using has a 12mm inlet and 8mm outlet. Im attempting to maintain the 12mm into the pump so i ensure i dont get any chance of starving the pump.

Chubby, Did you have any luck in your search for this fuel filter?

About to start hunting for the same type.
