fitted twin dellorto on manta ohc ,ran ok for approx 70 miles if a little thirsty , suddenly wont rev and boggs down if slight pressure applied to
throttle assuming jetting ??? have got car booked on rollers on sat but would like any feedback to make sure not missing obvious ,,,.
have checked things like plugs (new set fitted) and all contacts between leads etc only thing can find is small amount of plastic shroud around
contact in dizzy is missing but post is still in tact?
cheers guys
bracey
check the needles/jets for blockages
check fueling too i guess.
if you are getting sparks then it's not the dizzy.
but as above might have a blocked jet
accelerator pump problem??
My dellortos unadjusted themselves so the accelerator pump was pumping in less fuel. Gave me trouble starting and if i tried to accelerate hard.
Are dellortos a problem. As you may have seen from my post, my 45's have been fine until Sunday when the car was popping allot more than normal.
It was tuned on rolling road in October.
D
Start engine & with bonnet open, spray some wd40 or brake cleaner(prefered) into or across throttle body intakes whilst attempting to rev engine.
If engine picks up then its fueling & not sparks.
fitted new coil plugs rotor arm and dizzy cap ,running again ,just hope gets set up on rollers tommorrow ok

NOT GOOD NEWS
