Hi im moding my sump at the moment its a 1,6 cvh engine (xr2i) there can be surge problems with the oil pickup as when the engine is turned around the pick up front to back and should be side to side also chopping the bottom of and adding some wings to the side for that extra inch of ground clearance have a look at this link
http://www.sylva.co.uk/technical/cvh.htm

dont now what its like on the saab?

(was) i went back to pick it up and it got crushed lol. iam gonna use a zetec for now.and iam gonna buy a cossie engine and rebuild it in my spare time to a big spec. i was looking at all diffrent engines but i think in the long run ill spend as much money messing about. then its worth. but with a cossie its all tryed and tested so iam gonna spend the money and do it propely
