how tall is a x-flow?
Cousin Cleotis - 3/8/03 at 07:10 PM

i need to know how tall a x-flow is from the bottom of the sump to the top of the rocker cover/filler cap.

i am thinking of using an engine and box out of a suzuki sj or carry(little van).

the carry's engine is on a slant which will make it not as tall as the sj's engine but could this cause any problems?

Thanks, Paul

Paul, I'll measure mine (Phnar!) for ya tommorrow

Got a shortened sump and a different rocker cover to standard which has a much shallower cap.

Both factors mean the block + head figure is the only thing that will b of use to you.

Try searching again - "Engine Heights".

I posted a list of engine heights on here some time ago.

However to answer your question - from c'line of the crank to top of rocker cover (not including filler neck) a 1300 is 13.5" tall and a 1600 is 15" tall.
