Diff numbers

Does anyone have a web link to a list of Ford diff ID numbers vs ratios?

I think I may have knackered my diff.... Its making increasingly nasty noises when taking up the backlash and when actually working (ie corners) it makes a nasty clanking noise

I suspect it ran dry due to having no breather tube attached to the nipple, consequently knackering it rather!!!

I'm stuck with whatever ratio this one is cos the diff ratio dictates how many splines I've got on my speedo trigger wheel. Anyway, this diff gives a good combo of speed and acceleration so why change!!!

I want to ID it before going out searching.....
thanks in advance!

Just mark a wheel, jack the back end up and note how many turns of the propshaft it takes to complete one revolution of the wheel. Or vice versa.

Okay- I'll go and do it the hard way I seem to have spent quite a lot of time over the last couple of weeks under my car staring at the diff!!!
Cheers!!

Take the back plate of the diff, either stamped on the crown wheel or sometimes written in white or yellow is the ratio usually 3.62:1 or similar, assuming you've got a sierra diff.
