rocker cover - what to use while off
cadebytiger - 11/5/07 at 08:52 AM

Am taking my rocker cover to be blasted and powder coated and they say it will be about a 4/5 day turn around.

The car lives outside - i'm not sure how to cover the cam untill i get it back.

Any ideas?

Bin bag over the top of the engine and rope. Just keep the muck out at all costs.

Cover the cam in oil first. Be carefull about using bin bags etc as you get condensation build up (been there done that) Possibly use a breathable material to cover it.

if theres a bonnet and it doesnt let water drip down onto the engine it will be fine as far as i would be concerned...

Cling film.....

there should be enough oil on everything for a few days not to matter

If you don't trust the weather You can also put a tied shut cloth bag filled with the stuff you put in the shelter where the kitten poops (sorry dutch so must explain cause i don't know the word)
that will keep all moist out of the engine.

just put a bag over that
