Hi,
i am hoping to fit my engine this weekend so am filling the gearbox first.
I have the later style manual box which is meant to have atf type "g". I cant find this spec oil, will any atf do?
What have you used?

ah count yourself lucky for remembering, I forgot to do mine. I think the Castrol TQF stuff has been recommended for these. Not sure tho.

Any auto fluid is good to go, you cannot fill with hypoid as the box has a small pump in it.

If you want to improve the change get some synthetic gearbox oil.

They change the recommened oil serveral time s but any normal ATF will do --- ie non Dextron.
