Some of you will remember that when i took my carbs to bits i found that one set had 38 chokes and the other had 36s. i thought this was a bit odd and so got onto aldon (wh rolling roaded it about 8 years ago before i had the car). They said that they should have noticed this and offered to swop the chokes for either 36s or 38s.

So swoped down to 36.

I think this is a great example of what has been lost in alot of larger companies. There was none of this "well you could be anyone and it is against out policy". They just said well you are not going to make something like that up so we will swop them and sorted the problem right away! Brilliant!

Maybe they still had the other set with 2x36 and 2x38 that weren't much use to them use like yours weren't!
