Dave Brooks Pinto cylinder head....
Memphis Twin - 21/5/07 at 04:20 PM

On Ebay right now is one of the best cylinder heads money can buy, complete and ready to fit. For all those looking to upgrade your Pinto (even with a standard bottom end)... this would be my 1st choice!

Do an Ebay search on Dave Brooks and you'll get there. (Can't be bothered working out how to do a link). I doubt that it will be cheap though....

A good £450 i should think.

Considering a burton or vulcan one will cost you over £800 new.

I bet it goes for around £600...

TGR-ECOSSE - 21/5/07 at 06:13 PM

A nice head and how big are those inlet valves
or am I just being tainted by the tiny ones in the Zetec.

I reckon around £497.38 or there abouts

Raised ports are the way to go on the Pinto but how much better than a sorted injection head will it be. I would be surprised if it gets much over £500, but then I was surprised when my R1 carbs and pinto manifold fetched £333 on eBay.

flak monkey - 21/5/07 at 08:48 PM

Well its up to £500 already!

190bhp with only a Kent rally-spec cam....speaks volumes.

Im sure it is good but there are cheaper options. AMAC Engineering built Mookys head onto a 2.0 pinto and managed 180bhp at wheels on 2 rolling roads with twin 45's and less ££££.
