dizzy question
HAL 1 - 31/5/07 at 08:02 PM

Hi
just changed my dizzy back to points/condensor due to problems with ecu, engine is 1985 2ltr pinto but dizzy age unknown but also from pinto, seems to be ok but anyone know of any likely problems ?
Will probably get aftermarket set up when funds allow, any recommendations ?
All advice welcome

RayWard has a megajolt for sale on this very forum

HERE

For £90 I'd snatch his hand off. If I didn't have one already

Couldn't agree more.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy and well cheap for what you get.

If I can get it right first time it must be simple.

Defo go for MJLJ. Thats what i did and so far its great. Also tuneable for future upgrades and can be used on different engines should you so desire.

The toothed wheel and sensor can take some sussing out but when you do you wonder what the fuss was about. After that you can run 2D mode until you get to grips with MAP or TPS for the third D. Even 2D is better than std dizzy.

Only other challenge could be comms to the laptop but the new MJLJ software has that covered as well. Older versions liked serial port connection, new one can take USB as well.
