Anyone know what size the inlet/outlet pipes are on the polo rad.

I am thinking of changing to this but don't want t have to buy new hoses as i just got silicon ones!

Thanks

Rupert

do you use a polo fan also?

I used a 10" spal fan off ebay. Pulls the temp down very quick.

Look in the horsebox section on ebay as they are used as ventilation fans on themm tend to go cheaper in there if you are looking for one.

not sure what i have at the moment.

It is quite small and sits behind the rad. Will have a closer look

Thanks

I concur 32mm and I used the fan from a fiat uno. Only prob is it's a puller not a pusher (i've reversed wiring but have'nt run it on the car yet so don't know how reliable/longlasting etc it'll be in reverse,

They're definitely 32mm in and out, with an additional small (5mm?) connector at the top which I teed into the expansion/overflow.

I used a "budget fan" from Stafford Vehicle Components (£30ish) which works beautifully with the polo rad.

Anyone know what top and bottom hoses you use for connecting the polo rad to a 20. pinto ??

For the top hose i used 2 45deg bends chopped out of a hose i had laying about joined with a bit of galvanised pipe

For the bottom hose I used a tight 90deg bend at the rad, just went into the motorfactors and had a rummage. At the block I used a weird shaped hose, which reduced from the 38mm pump to 32mm and took the hose down below the aux belt. Then joined with another bit of galvanised pipe. I can find out the QH number for the hose when I get home.
