hay all, im thesnake, i dont have a kit car as of yet but im having one as my next project, im currently doing up a ford capri for which im fitting some bike carbs, im wondering if any one can point me in the direction to find some velocity stacks, and what size/length stacks would be best for a 1.6 pinto, cheers your local friendly snake
Welcome to the mad house.
i dont think that question has come up before. Are velocity stacks and trumpets the same thing?
Might be worth doing a search otherwise im sure it wont be long before someone will answer.
When i get round to putting my ZZR1100 carbs on 2.0 pinto im going to use std rubber trumpets and a large K&N filter to kind of copy the original
bike air box idea.
Might be worth saying what bike carbs you are using?
What manifold are you using out of interest?

the carbs are gsxr 750s, from the early 90's and im having the manifold made by a guy on here i belive, a company called knn manifolds, i may
have found a cure, the gsxr trumpets(stacks) are within the air box, and as im wanting to run an air box of some kind i will get a gsxr air box and
see how hard it is to modify to fit! how ever, the reason im asking on here as i spent about three weeks trawling threw post looking up about bike
carbs, and a few pictures iv seen have had long coloured stacks on them and wondering were they get them from!

Piper do them to screw/bolt tp the filter backplate, however the rubber trumpets that come with the carb are designed to fit over the carb barrel and
match the internal diameter precisely.
As you wont see the new Stacks, use the originals and only upgrade if a rolling road session demands different lengths for better power.
