For my c20xe engine I have made an adapter plate to attach some GSXR throttle bodies. However, this plate blanks off the cooling water outlet next to the first inlet port. I also blanked of the hole on te back site of the cilinder head which is normaly used for the heater. But now I have blanked of both holes, this means that there is no water circulation when the thermostat is closed. Does this mather or will it be OK? Or will it for example put extra stress on the water pump?

You need a water connection of some sort on the area you have blanked off by the inlet ports, as air tends to get trapped here.

Drill a hole through your plate in line with the top of the water port and tap the plate and screw in a 1/8" bsp (or similar) hose barb, this will allow the air to bleed from this area. I have this setup and have piped the hose barb to the top of the header tank, and the system self-bleeds very well.

The conection on the back of the head can be blanked off no problem

Mmm. My conversion to the QED DTH thottle bodies earlier this year effectively blanked off the cylinder head inlet coolant ports. Up until the the conversion, I used a SBD sidedraft manifold, which effectively plumbed the cylinder head to the bottom hose.

Absolutely no difference in cooling performance at all to report...

I ran it blanked before, and it cooled fine, but was a swine to get the air out of the head when first filling it up, that was the issue.

You will no doubt be fine without, but it makes a nice job of it if you keep an air bleed on that side of the head so all the air doesn't have to escape through the thermostat "pinhole" when you are filling it up.
