Having problems deciding what the best option is for the rad fan.
Would have liked to fit a puller fan – Kenlow 14 inch HD fan but not enough clearance from chassis to fit so my options seem to be ( do pacet do a
slim line version?)
Fit a blower 14 HD fan on the front of Rad.
Fit twin 8inch puller fans lower down behind Rad
Will fitting a large fan in front of the radiator reduce air flow under normal driving conditions through the rad.
What have other people used.
Leaning towards the 14 inch kenlow with the extra boost setting in front of rad.
i would fit 2x smaller fans and 2x relay for the extra power needed, that gives you a spare incase one stops
I went for a Spal
have a look on here
Spal Fans
I went fo a - VA10-AP50/C-61A
Bought from the chap and got excelent service it cost me £93.77 a couple of years ago.

It makes no real difference if the fan is in front or behind the rad!
Hunt down the cfm figures for the fans you're thinking of, and buy the best.

Paul,
I fitted 2 x 10" fans from Car Builder Solutions behind the rad.
795cfm each

The 14 inch kenlow high performance fan offers 2040cmh at normal speed and 3989 at "jet boost " speed. Takes a large current so may have to
rethink the alternator value, but I think I will opt for this one.

Just a thought but, the 10" fans cover the standard viento V8 radiator height wise in full, if you put a 14" fan on your going to have
wasted area, i.e the fan will be blowing onto the top and bottom solid parts and not through the rad.
Just a wee thought.
not using the viento rad as it was way too much money.
trying the rad from a volvo which is alluminium wider and taller but only single core. hence the big cmh fan.
could have got a 16 inch on it but foules on fron nose cone at base or on rail behind rad.

I would rather fit a puller fan than a pusher. Airflow to the rad vanes will be unobstructed, allowing them to work at max efficiency. A pusher fan
will disrupt this airflow, even forcing it to miss the rad completely in some cases.
Once the air has gone through the rad, it doesn't realy matter what happens to it, as long as it flows away from the rad.
Hi if anyone wants bike fans iv hundreds of them
all are puller fans with mounting brackets
