4-2-1 exhaust manifold for 1300 x flow
stevie h - 5/9/07 at 11:49 AM

Hi there. Im new to this forum but hope someone can help. I'm trying to source a replacement maniford. Mine's cracked around a weld so not sure it will re-weld. The basis of it is a mild steel 4 into 2 into 1 but chopped and changed to wriggle past engine mounts etc. Not on a quest for big HP, just want to get back on the road with minimum fuss and expence. Can anyone suggest where to start. Any particularly good/helpful suppliers that anyone's used. Cheers, Stevie

keep a look out on ebay and on here plus i keep an eye on http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk in the parts for sale section. Stuff always pops up on there.

Oh and welcome!

If you are only looking to get back on the road, I would also second getting it re-welded...

As above - where are you based?

if you want an original escort 4-2-1 to get re-chopped up let me know. I've got one i keep meaning to sell.

£10 and its yours (although postage will probably be as much again).

Cheers for the warm welcome and the advice. I'll whip the old manifold off this weekend and see if it can be re-welded. I live just outside newcastle (upon tyne) and have a local company who can advise and weld if necessary. In the meantime Mike could you send a photo of your manifold through to me. My email - steven_hanson@tiacali.co.uk Thanks again. Stevie
